That was an amazing article by Sean McCoy. I really liked the part where he spoke about supporting a line rather than putting out new rule-sets. Brilliant. P.S I think The Shattered Isles is a real winner.

I love this! And couldn’t agree more. With years of gming & playing ttrpgs under my belt, mechanics are second nature. I love the “little” things that give a game & setting life & create a vibe. In my most recent session we (players) went into a canteen that had a menu with named drinks. It made it feel so much more real & the names of the drinks did more to convey the setting & vibe than anything else.
