So, it's not so much a *world* as it is a vibe or sandbox for Shadowdark...
Names and places should use Slavic-language names (thank you, behindthename.com and fantasynamegenerator.com!), and the bestiary should feature as many Slavic folklore critters as possible.
The land itself should feature marshes & swamps, rolling steppes, craggy mountains, towering, rich forests (with just a dash of fey mischief in the shadows), and lots of ruined castles and outposts. The weather should also mirror this part of our world: bitter, biting winters, wet springs, bountiful autumns, and pleasant (maybe even a bit toasty?) summers.
For visuals, look at the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Russia (which is unavoidable, despite current politics), or even the Balkans.
Something more in line with Warhammer Fantasy's setting - but maybe not as 'grimdark'?
I guess what I'm getting at is this: I think it's high time we shook off the medieval/Renaissance European trope that's seeped into Fantasy games and look at other stuff, you know?
Oh, also...
No Baba Yaga or her Dancing Hut! The chicken feet just creep me out!
Every inspiration you cite is 300% my jam. Love the idea of sword and sorcery centred around shaping or making one's mark on the world and leaving a lasting legacy.
Feels very Robert E Howard - becoming a king by your own hand.
Man...ngl, I thought you were calling me out...
I was like "I don't know...I'm still working on it?"
From one Nate to another... wanna share? 👀

But when can we buy it??? ;) Just kidding - looks very interesting.
Check out my newest post for more info on that! :)
Great Appendix N. Following this project. (You don’t see Worm Ourobouros cited a lot!)
I'm not too proud to admit I completely riffed off of Demonland, Witchland, Goblinland, etc with my names (to be revealed later!)

Very interesting. The name change is fitting. The lore does a good job of setting the tone. Looking forward to seeing more.
A. The name - excellent. Evocative, on theme. Hits like a block of stone.
B. These promo spots are gorgeous.
C. The aging mechanic - so so sleek and intuitive.
